About Us

My name is Lydia. Since 2022, my husband, Jay and I have discovered the unexpected blessing of working side-by-side on the 20-acre hobby farm we affectionately call ‘Painted Sky Farm’.  With gorgeous sunrises and sunsets on display daily, we are continually in awe of the handiwork of God, and so it only seemed fitting that His beautiful creation would be reflected in our name!

As a city girl, I never dreamed I’d one day own a farm…or farm a farm…much less start a farm in the ‘almost empty nest’ phase of life. To this day my farmer uncles look at me in disbelief when I ask them for advice about my cows. (I’ve never done things the easy way, so why start now?) 

It’s remarkable how much satisfaction comes from making something with your own two hands.  When my kids were little, I made bread and quilts and flower beds and paintings.  Now I’m churning butter from our own cream and making skin cream from our own tallow!

When I set out to develop a skin cream, it was a priority to use only the highest quality ingredients. What we put on our bodies matters! So I put in the hard work to make a tallow cream product that hydrates and deeply nourishes your skin; incorporating key oils known for their restorative properties.
